Privacy Policy
1. Scope and operator

2. Information processed
We process photos you choose to upload and the styles or instructions you select to create your requested portrait. Basic technical information, such as IP address, device or operating-system information, request status and error information, may be processed to operate and protect the service. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you provide. Apple handles App Store payments; do not send us payment-card information.
3. How information is used
When you request a portrait, your selected photo and generation instructions are transmitted over an encrypted connection to our Google Cloud-hosted service and Google Gemini for processing. Google is a service provider involved in delivering your requested image. Information is used to deliver requested features, troubleshoot problems, protect the service, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your photos or use them for advertising or personal profiling.
4. Photos, face data and retention
Facerly Gold uses uploaded photos temporarily for generation and discards them after processing. We do not maintain a persistent server-side photo library. Copies saved on your device or elsewhere remain until you delete them. Google may retain processing data for security, abuse prevention or legal obligations under the applicable service terms; this policy does not promise zero retention by Google. We do not use photos for facial recognition, identity verification or creation of biometric identity profiles. See our Data & Face Privacy Policy.
5. AI training
Facerly Gold does not use your photos to train its own AI models or for marketing. Google’s handling of data depends on the Google service and applicable terms. See Google Gemini API terms and Google Cloud privacy information.
6. Service providers and disclosure
We disclose information needed to Google to provide cloud and AI processing. Apple processes purchases under its own policies. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect rights and service security. We do not publish your uploaded photos. Processing may occur outside your state or country under the providers’ applicable terms.
7. Your choices and rights
Choose whether to upload a photo and initiate processing. You may stop future processing and revoke device photo or camera permissions in iOS Settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information and other rights under applicable law. Email us to exercise those rights; we may request proportionate verification. We do not require sensitive photos or passwords for verification. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and will not discriminate for exercising privacy rights.
8. Support and technical records
Support correspondence and necessary technical or transaction records may be retained for as long as needed to resolve requests, operate securely or satisfy legal obligations. These records are separate from temporary photo processing. Our Data Deletion page explains requests and exceptions.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections and reasonable safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Adults and permitted uploads
The service is for adults aged 18 or older. Do not upload photos of anyone under 18. You must own or have permission to use the image and have consent from every person depicted. Public figures and celebrities also require consent. Do not submit unlawful, abusive or prohibited material.
